Automatchic™ Vision

The power of digital innovation in your hands

Traditional color matching techniques take time and experience to achieve the right result. The compact, hand-held, and easy to use Automatchic Vision spectrophotometer uses the latest digital technology for precise, reliable color measurements. The latest version of Automatchic is wifi enabled, and when combined with AkzoNobel’s color retrieval software, you have access to more than two million colors and variants.

Automatchic first launched in 1993 and has since become AkzoNobel’s pioneering hand-held spectrophotometer. In its current form, in combination with our extensive database, it is the most accurate color-matching system available. Its high degree of accuracy dramatically reduces the likelihood of matching errors and eliminates the need to carry out re-works.

Are you ready for the 3D revolution?

The latest advances in three-dimensional paints are taking special colors to a whole new level. In the next few years we expect to see rapid expansion in the colors available, and in the number of vehicle makes and models on which they are used.

Three-dimensional paintwork consists of a colored basecoat, featuring thinner and flatter aluminum flakes than normal metallic paints, followed by a semi-transparent colored midcoat and then a clearcoat. The resulting ‘liquid metal’ appearance, color depth, 3D effect and intense light reflection are stunning.
