How does the Sustainable Repair Network in EMEA help bodyshops?

The three-level certification framework supports bodyshop businesses by first measuring CO2e emissions, then undertaking ongoing monitoring to identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption, costs and emissions, before developing and implementing improvements.

For the implementation AkzoNobel’s VR Sustainability Team has developed three dedicated solutions: 4R Pulse, Energy Pulse and the Carbon Pulse application.

Energy pulse

Carbon pulse

A cloud-based solution to track and report your energy consumption and CO2e emissions, including targets set and initiatives defined

How do we define a sustainable repair?

A sustainable repair is looking at all steps within the repair process and the overall bodyshop operation to identify where emissions are created and to take measures to reduce these. This might include changes in equipment, processes and choice of products used. Critical to any recommendation is a holistic understanding of the bodyshos baseline. It is the effort to reduce emissions of the repair process from key-to-key time.
