Accelerate repair performance while lowering energy costs with Sikkens Autosurfacer Optima

With bodyshops needing to ‘Rethink’ their operations during these challenging economic times, premium vehicle refinishes brand Sikkens has developed an all-new one-stop filler, which can significantly improve productivity while lowering energy costs.
Sikkens Autosurfacer Optima is the first of a new generation of products from the AkzoNobel-owned brand.
Thanks to fast-drying: 30 minutes at ambient temperatures, 5 minutes with infrared and 10 minutes at 60°C curing, Autosurfacer Optima speeds up cycle times, which frees up space in the spray booth to ultimately lower energy costs by up to 85%.

Unlike conventional fillers, Autosurfacer Optima’s one-stop application method means that no flash-offs are needed between full layers and before infrared and curing at 60°C. This can result in up to 80% shorter process times when drying with infrared, compared with a standard filler, allowing bodyshops to fit more jobs into a standard work day.
Enhanced corrosion protection also eliminates the need for time-consuming pre-treatment such as wipes or wash-primer. This means technicians can start the job immediately, reducing the overall cost of repair.
